s <br /> E <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Sign Expense Warrants, The Board members signed the expense warrants. <br /> . Review/Approve Bol'- Public Session Minutes: February 2, 2017. <br /> Brian Baumgaertel made a motion that the Board of Health approve the Public Session minutes of February 2, <br /> 2017. I alliope Egloff seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> . Request for Deduction in operation and Maintenance Monitoring: Mashpee Baptist church. <br /> Elizabeth Ewing, the Treasurer for the Mashpee Baptist church, introduced herself to.the Board. <br /> Glen Harrington commented that the septic system at the Mashpee Baptist church has a Piranha alternative <br /> treatment system. It has been operating for over two gears with 10 sampling events, The Piranha is not a <br /> nitrogen removal system but provides better effluent. originally, an addition was proposed, but never <br /> commenced, where the usage would have been over 600 gallons per day. Some changes were made to the <br /> system, and it is still operating efficiently. Mr. Harrington recommended using the Department of Environmental <br /> Protection annual field testing protocoi. <br /> Brian Baurrigaertel made a motion that the Beard of Health release the operation and Maintenance <br /> requirements for the Piranha system at the Mashpee Baptist Church from four inspections and four samples <br /> per year to one inspection with a field test per the Department of Environmental Protection requirements. <br /> I alliope Egloff seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> 4,. Approval of Board of Health Town Report. <br /> I alliope Egloff remarked that in her opinion bird feeders are the number one reason for the increase in <br /> rodents. Ms. Egloff felt that bird feeders, chickens, and backyard composting all contribute to rodents. <br /> Ialliope Egloff made a motion that the Board of Health approve the Board of Health 2016 Town Report as <br /> presented with the addition of bird feeders added to the third paragraph last sentence of the Report. Brian <br /> Eaumgaertel seconded the motion, The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Sanitary code violation: Deer Crossing Condominium Emit U-137., <br /> Glen Harrington stated that he forwarded the "For the Record" written by Veronica Warden for Beer Crossing <br /> Unit U-1 37. Ills. Warden has been visiting this property on a weekly basis. The tables and chairs in the unit are <br /> now visible. The occupant's clothes are the majority of her clutter because she feels that she will eventually be <br /> able to wear thea. Mr. Harrington recommended continuing with the weekly visits at things are improving. <br /> . Asbestos violation Nearing: 300 Nathan Ellis Highway— Lakeside Estates. <br /> Glen Harrington commented that on January 19, 2017, the Board of Health voted to defer action on the <br /> asbestos violations at Lakeside Estates to allow the park management to provide the requested information as <br /> requested by Attorney Mall. The information was provided on January 27, 2017, which included the name of <br /> l <br /> the hauler, Republic Services; the location of disposal, the Bourne Integrated Waste Management Facility; and <br /> an invoice and account summary from Republic Services. on January 31, 2017, an asbestos survey report <br /> was provided to the Board of Health. Dr. Bill Vaughn of Nauset Environmental Services stated that no <br /> asbestos-containing building materials were present for sampling. This survey was only performed on Lot 10 <br /> Lakeside Estates. <br /> Attorney Brian Wall, representing Soo Nathan Ellis Highway, Lakeside Estates, introduced himself to the <br /> Board. <br /> Attorney Wall commented that at the last meeting he asked the Board of Health for some indulgences by <br /> providing this information. Attorney Wall is asking for the fines to be rescinded or reduced since the information <br /> was made available to the Board. <br /> 3 <br />
