Rob Hansen stated his appreciation for the history shared by the Chair and respected his decision but the Chair did not request public comment for further discussion. Later in the meeting, the Chair stated that he brought his people and the pickle ball people had their opportunity to speak as well, and should not have felt left out. Ms. Frye clarified that she did not know that Mr. Hansen wished to speak in support of pickle ball. Ms. Baird agreed that no one was refused from speaking. Maureen Paxton-Application for Vacant Seat A letter was received from Maureen Paxton to fill the 7"' member position on the Historic District Commission. Ms. Baird read the letter sent to the Board of Selectmen. The Chair stated he had known Ms. Paxton for many years and was very knowledgeable about the community. Mr. Balzarini stated that Ms. Paxton would be an asset to the Commission. Mr. Hyde suggested that reappointment dates for Chairman Mills and Mr. Robbins' reappointments be confirmed prior to requesting an additional appointment. The term would be three years. MOTION: Ms.Baird made a motion to recommend the Board of Selectmen appoint Maureen Paxton to a three year term on the Historic District Commission. Mr. Balzarini seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES December 21, 2016 Minutes were not available at the time of submitting the agenda, but had since become available for review. The Town Clerk stated that because they were not listed on the agenda, they could not be approved until the next meeting. Mr. Fudala will add the minutes to the next agenda. ADJOURNMENT MOTION: Mr. Hyde made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Balzarini seconded the motion. All voted unanimously.
