Mrs, Botsford had <br /> forwarded the proposed plan to members prior to the meeting. In addition, a meeting was <br /> held with residents to explain the plan and ask for their input. The CIP was then filly <br /> reviewed. The only item on the coming year plan is the parking lot expansion, which we <br /> are hoping to get started this summer. After consideration, a notion was made by <br /> Richard Halpern and seconded by Melissa Phillips to approve and Five Year <br /> Capital Improvement Plan as presented. The motion carried. Mrs. Botsford will get <br /> it submitted to DH D. <br /> 8, OTHER BUSINESS: none <br /> COMMUNICATIONSWORRESPONDENC In addition to providing the Public Housing <br /> Notices,, Mrs. Botsford reviewed some emai is between her and the town's Affordable Housing <br /> Committee. The first email to the Affordable Housing Committee frons Mrs. Botsford on March <br /> 9 was regarding the fact that in the Affordable Housing Committee minutes, the committee <br /> implied that the housing authority presented the CPA-funded Housing.Assistance Program as a <br /> 100% loan program, which it never was. They also had the funding amount wrong. Mrs. <br /> Botsford reminded the Affordable Housing Committee members that in her presentation to the <br /> Community Preservation Committee and the Affordable Housing Committee, the program was <br /> outlined completely indicating that 4 parts of the 5-part program were in fact loans, but the other <br /> remaining part--- short terra housing assistance---was not, and was a voucher-type program. The <br /> AHC supported the program as it was presented to thein. In addition, their minutes indicated that <br /> we were receiving $300,000 when in fact it is $330,000. Mrs. Botsford again provided the <br /> Affordable Housing Committee with the statistics that were provided to the Affordable Housing <br /> Committee after the first 3 years of the program. <br /> The minutes of the Affordable Housing Committee meeting in which Mrs. otsford's email was <br /> addressed again contained misrepresentation and push back about using CPA funds for our <br /> program. Mrs. Botsford emailed the Affordable Housing Committee again on May 3 clarifying <br /> the facts of the program and the fact that CPA. funds, in addition to other things, are meant for <br /> programs such as Mashpee Housing Assistance Programs..
