Nichols <br /> Attendees: Members: Brian Mauro, Barbara Nichols <br /> Guests: <br /> The minutes of the October 27, 2016 meeting were accepted as written after a ruction by Brian Mauro <br /> and second by Barbara Nichols. <br /> Agenda topics <br /> [Agenda topic 1] Lalize level/Riven outflow <br /> Discussion: Barbara and Brian did the lake measurements on.November 1't. and 15th, which were both <br /> 55.0 ft. above sea level, 9 inches and 3 inches of water were flowing over the board closest to the lake <br /> and 5 inches and 4 inches were flowing in the stream by the stairs. On December f't and 15t", Barbara did <br /> the measurements and which were 55.1 and 55,0 ft. above sea level. There were 9 and 8.5 inches of water <br /> flowing over the board closest to the stream and.6.5 and 4 inches of water in the stream by the stairs. <br /> Many small herring were still leaving the lake on December I.st, due to the warm fall. January levels on <br /> the 1"and 15t" were both 55,1 ft, above sea level with 8.5 and 10.5 inches of water flowing over the board <br /> closest to the lake and 3 and 3.5 inches of water in the stream by the stairs. <br /> All measurements were sent to Drew MacManus in Conservation, On January 5t", Barbara was invited to <br /> a meeting 'in Conservation with Selectman Gottlieb, and the Mashpee Wampanoag Natural Resource <br /> Director where plans were nude to address the sediment loading in the Mill pond and river near the <br /> fish ay. Years ago a dredging permit was taken out"in perpetuity'}, and Conservation will work with <br /> DPW to clean out the sand with an excavator. This will meed to be done by early March before the herring <br /> return to the rive`. <br /> Conclusions. The water level is slowly coning up. Sand needs to be removed from the river. <br /> [Agenda topic ] Fall Newsletter <br /> Discussion.: The newsletter was sent to Christine Willander in the Selectman's office, who helped with the <br /> formatting and got the Torn Manager"s approval on November 8(". The contact phone number for the <br /> harbormaster in the article was changed. Reach him for non-emergency problems through the Dept, of <br /> Natural Resources. Twenty copies of the newsletter were panted for us and put out in the Town Hall <br /> racks. The newsletter was then sent to 1 T rept. and put on the Towns' new web site. <br /> Conclusions: The fall newsletter was approved and is out for the public in the town hall rads and online. <br />
