485 <br />TOWN OF MASHPEE <br />SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT <br />May 5, 1980 <br />Barnstable, ss, <br />To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee Greetings: <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are <br />hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitants of the <br />' Town of Mashpee who are qualified to vote in the elections, to <br />meet at the Mashpee Middle School on Monday, the fifth day of <br />May, 1980, at 7:05 p.m. for the following purposes: <br />To act on the articles contained in the following warrant: <br />A quorum present, Moderator Frank Leonardi called the <br />meeting to order at 7:25 p.m. <br />A standing ovation of appreciation was given to Walter <br />Hurlburt, member of the Finance Committee, for his many years <br />of service. <br />ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from <br />available funds the sum of $2,552.76 to cover the following <br />Unpaid Bills for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1979: <br />Seabury Medical Associates $ 97.00 <br />American Insurance Company 1,186.00 <br />Cape Cod Hospital 1,269.76 <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded to transfer from the Highway <br />Snow and Ice Account the sum of $2,552.76. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />' ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will vote to petition the <br />General Court for authorization for the Town to pay the sum of <br />$400.00 to reimburse James Soltis for loss incurred due to the <br />theft of his tools from Town property, or take any other action <br />thereon. <br />ACTION: Moved and seconded that the Town petition the General <br />Court for authorization to reimburse James Soltis the sum of <br />$400.00. <br />Motion carried. <br />ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from <br />available funds a sum of money to be applied to the Town Insur- <br />ance Account, or take any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Moved and seconded that the Town transfer from the <br />Snow and Ice Account the sum of $3,800.00 to be applied to the <br />Town Insurance Account. <br />Motion carried. <br />ARTICLE 5. To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum <br />of $1,431.75 from the Old Barnstable Road Construction Account <br />to the Police and Fire Buildings Construction Account, or take <br />any other action thereon. . <br />ARTICLE <br />4. To see <br />if the Town <br />will vote to transfer from <br />available <br />Expense <br />funds a sum of money <br />Account, or take any other <br />to be applied to the Selectmen's <br />action thereon. <br />ACTION: <br />Moved and <br />seconded to <br />transfer from the Snow and Ice <br />Account <br />the sum of <br />$1,500.00 to <br />be applied to the Selectmen's <br />Expense <br />Account. <br />Motion <br />carried. <br />ARTICLE 5. To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum <br />of $1,431.75 from the Old Barnstable Road Construction Account <br />to the Police and Fire Buildings Construction Account, or take <br />any other action thereon. . <br />
