MASHPEE ENVIRONMENTAL OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> JANUARY 9, 2019 - 6:30 P.M. <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> Members Present: Michael Talbot,Katelyn Cadoret, Ashley Fisher, Tom Hoppensteadt, Dale <br /> McKay,Joe Cummings, Rick York <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chair Michael Talbot opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES: <br /> December 12,2018 <br /> Motion: Tom Hoppensteadt moved to approve the minutes of December 12, 2018, seconded by <br /> Dale McKay. Vote unanimous 7-0 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Mass,Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Program (MVP): Update <br /> It was noted staff had their first meeting. <br /> ACTION ITEMS UPDATE <br /> Bylaws for Plastic Straw and Polystyrene Bans for Mashpee: Update <br /> The Chair stated he passed on the proposed plastic straw andpolystyrene bans bylaw to town <br /> management and hasn't heard any updates. He will be following up. <br /> Mashpee Greenway and Funding for the Quashnet River Footbridge: No Update <br /> MCGAC: CPC New Garden Funding and Planning: Update <br /> The Chair reported the Community Gardens received CPC funding. The funds will be used for the <br /> renovations of the gardens for 2020. The committee is working on new forms to be used to apply for <br /> individual garden plots. <br /> Mashpee CWMP: <br /> DNR/Estuary Restoration/Shellfish Propagation: Update <br /> Ashley Fisher stated there has been some theft in the Popponesset Bay area. We are currently working <br /> with EPA and there is an ongoing investigation and citations have been written. The Shellfish <br /> Commission has recommended that the Selectmen suspend the licenses. <br /> 1 <br />
