Rick York announced that at the Selectmen's meetings on Monday and Tuesday the review of the <br /> wastewater plan will be discussed. <br /> IMA's with other towns; DRI Review Process: No Update <br /> Planning for sewers; connections with private sewers: No Update <br /> Mashpee Nutrient Control Bylaw: No Update <br /> Town-Wide Stormwater Management Plan: No Update <br /> DNR and MEC (PALS) Pond & Estuary Water Quality Monitoring: Update <br /> Rick York stated there was a meeting with the Friends of Santuit Pond to discuss the situation with <br /> them. He stated he reported previously, the pond had algae bloom after heavy rain last year which <br /> subsided in the fall and will see what happens next year. <br /> Tom Hoppensteadt stated he has students that are interested in pond monitoring. They would be <br /> interested in the fall,winter, and spring. Rick stated his department does the monitoring in the <br /> summer. He suggested Tom connect with Ashley because there are other things the students may be <br /> able to do. <br /> REPORTS <br /> Conservation Department Report: <br /> Katelyn Cadoret reported that Orleans is working on a ban for balloons and suggested EOC think about <br /> working on a bylaw for banning balloons, <br /> Herring Run Fish Ladder Improvements; Herring Count Program w/APCC: Update <br /> They are getting ready for the training sessions and the start of the season from the end of May <br /> beginning of June. The IP has been making some handouts and the information is also available on the <br /> website. <br /> Pollinator Gardens: No Update <br /> Land Stewards Program: Update <br /> Makala has been helping in creating more programming and handouts and they are thinking about <br /> more activities to make it more interactive. <br /> Damage to and Damping on Conservation Lands: Update <br /> Three of the parking lots have a lot of potholes and DPW will be regrading. She said they finally have <br /> the trail cameras so she can use them to more success in other areas such as the conservation parking <br /> lots. <br /> Quashnet River Restoration/Realignment Project: Update <br /> CPC funding was received. AmeriCorps will be preparing a presentation on the Quashnet River, <br /> Charles River and Coonamessett River for the public. <br /> Farley Bog Restoration: Update <br /> 2 <br />
