8 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 27, 2017 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Catherine Laurent, DPW Director: <br /> Approval of recommendation for award of contract for Purchase of Diesel and Gasoline: <br /> Catherine Laurent, Director of Public Works recommended the Town award a contract for FYI for the <br /> purchase of fuel as follows; <br /> Diesel Direct $1.7506 per gallon of diesel <br /> Noonan Brothers $1.644 per gallon of gasoline <br /> The low bid prices are for supply and delivery only. The Town is responsible for taxes and fees. <br /> Although the quotes have increased from last year, award of a contract through a competitive county bid <br /> allows the Town to secure the best fuel prices. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to award a contract for the purchase of diesel and gasoline <br /> as referenced. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br /> Approval of proposed language for signs at the Town boat ramps: <br /> The Department of Public Works will be installing new signs at the (3)Town boat ramps. The signs <br /> will replace any existing signage. New signs will improve boater safety,reduce any misuse at the ramp <br /> facilities, improve the appearance of the ramps and assist the Harbormaster with the enforcement of <br /> waterways regulations. Correspondence from the DPW Director dated March 16, 2017 outlined the <br /> intended language of the signage for boating safety and boat ramp usage guidelines. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the proposed language for signs at the Town boat <br /> ramps. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br />
