Kruzel Manager: <br /> In accordance with posting procedures,the Public Hearing relative to the application for Weekday and <br /> Sunday Entertainment for the New Seabury Athletic Club was opened. <br /> It was disclosed the applicant, Paul M. Kruzel,Manager of New Seabury Resources Management, Inc. <br /> d/b/a New Seabury Athletic Club was unable to attend the Selectmen's Meeting of June 19, 2017. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalan to continue the Public Hearing to Monday,July 10, 2017 <br /> at 6:40 p.m. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Opposed,none <br /> Donation to support Mash ee's U er uashnet River and Bo Restoration Project Kenneth Bates <br /> Waterways Chairman: <br /> Ken Bates, Chair of the Mashpee Waterways Commission was in attendance to announce the donation <br /> of$1,000 from the Sporting, Safety, Conservation&Education Fund,Inc. (SSCEF), an IRS approved <br /> 501 c (3)non-profit organization to support the Town of Mashpee's Upper Quashnet River and Bog <br /> Restoration project. <br /> Funding will assist in the endeavor to extend a cold water fishery into the Upper Quashnet River <br /> watershed and to restore parts of the Upper Quashnet Bog to wetland to re-establish the site as a natural <br /> water filtering area for water resources and valuable habitat. <br /> For disclosure, Selectman Gottlieb is a representative of the Association for the Preservation of Cape Cod <br /> (ADCC) and would be recusing himself on any matters associated to this project. The disclosure was so <br /> noted. <br /> Board of Selectman Chairman Thomas F. O'Hara expressed appreciation to the SSCEF for their donation, <br /> and invited Mr. Bates to return to the Board of Selectmen to continue to update the Town on the progress <br /> of the restoration project, a valuable ecological asset to the Town of Mashpee. There was no formal <br /> action required to accept the donation. <br />
