Haidas owner of Cookes Seafood Restaurant for approval <br /> to place two signs on Town owned property. <br /> Mr.whritenour indicated that the applicant has requested the Board <br /> continue the Public Hearing until Monday, September 9, 1996. <br /> Selectman Costa requested a vote from the Board to recess the Public <br /> Hearing as requested. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to recess the Public <br /> Hearing for James G. Haidas; Cookes Seafood Restaurant as <br /> requested until; Monday, September 9, 1996 at 7:30 p.m, <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VQT Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> I eveloDment Con o ltant Discussion: <br /> In response to the review of the Mashpee Commons consultant proposals <br /> and results of interviews,Mr.Whritenour and Tom Fudala submitted <br /> ratings applicable to each proposer based on the Comparative Evaluation <br /> Criteria as set forth in the Town=s Request for Proposals. (enclosed) <br /> The firm of Thomas J. Martin was ranked highly advantageous based <br /> upon the evaluation criteria informed Mr.whritenour. <br /> Discussion followed with respect to appropriate funding mechanisms. <br /> Mr.whritenour suggested the Board present the consultant approach <br /> to the developer of the Mashpee Commons project, and establish an <br /> account to allow the developer to appropriate funding for the entire study. <br /> Additional options for the Board's consideration include; a cost sharing <br /> arrangement between the Town and the developer, and independent <br /> funding by the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Selectman Caffyn related concerns with respect to the firm of Thomas J. <br /> Martin as a potential conflict of interest. It was noted that a consulting <br /> firm of this organization has worked closely with Field's Point and <br /> Mashpee Commons,Ltd. in the past. <br /> Selectman Caffyn requested the Board defer approval of the ranking <br /> proposal until further review and clarification. <br />
