Executive Secretary Robert Whritenour <br /> I <br /> Absent: Selectman Costa <br /> Guests: Tom Fudala,Town Planner <br /> Meeting Called to order by Ch 'rman Dinizio at 2:00 p.m. <br /> Carol Jacobson Senior Center. <br /> I nP--W NTS AND]HEARMS: <br /> The Board interviewed three development consultant firms in response <br /> to the RFP issued to review the proposed Mashpee Commons expansion <br /> project. <br /> As noted,the Board met with representatives from MEPA and CCC on <br /> August 8, 1996 to discuss the regulatory process with Mashpee Commons <br /> Ltd. officials. <br /> McGregor&Bhea; <br /> Ralph Willmer,Environmental Planner for McGregor&Shea of Boston <br /> P g . <br /> was present to discuss his firms credentials with members of the Board <br /> of Selectmen. ' <br /> David Blake and Dr.Ernest Kendall were also present to discuss the f <br /> scope of work relative to the proposed conceptual plan for the expansion <br /> of Mashpee Commons. <br /> r <br /> Mr.Willmer indicated that he is familiar with the MEPA and CCC <br /> regulatory review process in addition to zoning amendments and changes. <br /> s; <br /> Through bylaw changes,and regulatory and mitigation measures, we <br /> will be able to implement the master plan in a manner that is agreeable <br /> with the overall direction of the Town indicated Mr.Willmer. <br /> He suggested to further review the feasibility of the project as proposed <br /> on a Town wide basis reviewing increased development vs. cost of # <br /> services. <br /> To begin the initial phase of review,Mr.Willmer indicated that he would <br /> research what is specifically being proposed by the developer and the <br /> Town of Mashpee in accordance with the Local Comprehensive Plan. <br /> Schedules,information that has been generated to date,Town planning <br /> regarding the area, and review of the long range goals of the Town such <br /> as economic development, and infrastructure Would be reviewed as part <br /> of the initial process. <br /> f <br />
