Coffman, 105 Whippoorwill Circle, Proposed septic <br /> system upgrade and retaining wall installation, NOI <br /> Resource Area: LSCSF, Coastal Bank, Salt Marsh, Bordering Vegetated Wetland <br /> Coastal Beach and Land Under Ocean/Land Containing Shellfish <br /> Daniel Ojala, Down Cape Engineering, on behalf of Bortelli Construction, represented the <br /> applicants. He described the area having many resource areas and noted there is no area <br /> on the site where the system can be installed to be in full compliance with town <br /> regulations. The only area where the system can be installed is within the gravel parking <br /> area. He reviewed the property on the plan. He noted the owners are selling the property <br /> and the system is in failure. The existing leaching is only about 12 to 13 feet from the salt <br /> marsh and the plan is for it to be an elevated system about 28 feet from the nearest salt <br /> marsh and 50 feet from the Bordering Vegetated Wetland. Regrading is proposed in the <br /> area of the leaching facility and the driveway to avoid losing the parking for the dwelling. <br /> They are raising the driveway about a foot and repaving and will be going to the Board of <br /> Health to ask for some variances. Due to the close proximity to the resource areas. an <br /> innovative/alternative septic system component and UV unit is proposed to further treat the <br />
