Potzka, jr. <br /> Administrator <br /> Bate: December 12, 1996 <br /> Subject.* Mashpee Circulator <br /> The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority began service on the Mashpee <br /> Circulator on December 4, 1995, The one-year demonstration grant was <br /> funded out of the Congestion Mitigation Air Quality Program of the <br /> Intermodal Surf ace Transportation and Ef f i ciency Act (ISTEA) . The <br /> route was replaced with the Mashpee Trolley during the summer and <br /> integrated with the SeaLine regional route service. Fixed route transit works best in higher <br /> density corridors where there is more concentrated development, i.e. , <br /> housing, employment, commercial activities. The lack of ridership and <br /> continued expense to the Town dons not justify continuation of the <br /> service.
