Page 9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> December 16, 1996 <br /> QL.D BUSMS: <br /> Ex nin ofPli fi rEli ' Ui Li • <br /> Communication was received from Police Chief Przybylek dated <br /> December 5, 1996 recommending the Board extend the Police officer <br /> eligibility list. <br /> Marilyn Farren,Personnel Administrator recommended approval <br /> of the continuation of the list through November 28, 1997. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to extend the Police <br /> Officer Eligibility List through November 25, 1997 <br /> as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters, <br /> VII • Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> APPOFqTNIENTS AND REARM • <br /> 1!&i Headnie-MashDee Cir ulat • <br /> Selectman Costa opened the Public Hearing relative to the Cape Cod <br /> Regional Transit Authority and Mashpee Board of Selectmen to take <br /> comments on the Mashpee Circulator. <br /> Joseph Potzka, Jr. of the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority was <br /> present for discussion. <br /> As noted, the Mashpee Circulator service began on December 4, 1995. <br /> The one-year demonstration grant was funded through the Congestion <br /> Mitigation Air Quality Program. <br /> During the summer months, the route was replaced with the Mashpee <br /> Trolley and integrated with the SeaLine regional bus line service. <br /> Mr.Potzka discussed ridership services of the Mashpee Circulator and <br /> recommended the Town discontinue the service based upon lack of <br /> ridership. <br /> Selectman Costa opened the Public Hearing to obtain comment. <br /> s <br /> Mr.Joseph McCarty, Sea oaks,Mashpee spoke in favor of the SeaLine <br /> regional bus route. He noted that his wife rides the bus daily, and is <br /> generally pleased with the present manner of operation. <br /> For the record,Mr.Potzka read aloud a memo received from an <br /> Orchard Road resident in favor of the SeaLine route operation, and <br /> related services to Woods Hole and Hyannis. <br />
