Page 7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> December 16, 1996 <br /> APP NTS AND HEARIN • <br /> Liumor License Hearin -Route 1 h ' • (continued) <br /> Diane Mulvey related concerns with regards to the loo seat bar area. <br /> Attorney McAuliffe stated that the floor plan of the license application <br /> is the same as the previous establishments at this location. <br /> Peter Gala,President of Mashpee Shores read aloud the abutters notice <br /> that clearly states a 100 seat bar area. There are no proposals to constrain <br /> the consumption of alcohol stated Mr. Gala who related concerns to <br /> past activities that have occurred at Davy's Locker, <br /> Ms. Cloutier indicated that she operated the Cafe 130 prior to Davy's <br /> Locker without incident. The property as is presently exists is a fire <br /> hazard and a dump site stated Ms. Cloutier. <br /> Joan Marks added that notices were not mailed to the affected <br /> neighborhood.. She stated that she happened the view the notice as <br /> published in the local paper. Ms. Marks indicated that the Manager as <br /> quoted presented Sharky's as a unique, different, good, and fun <br /> place that will be competitively priced.. <br /> A fun place for singles is different than a fun lace for families to o <br /> P g <br /> stated Ms.Marks who added that Mashpee has quite its share of bars <br /> and restaurants at this time. <br /> Kathy McCarthy requested notification with regards to hours of operation, <br /> g p <br /> For the record, she stated that she is opposed to the 1:00 a.m. closing. <br /> Being no further comment, Selectman Costa requested a vote from the <br /> Board to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to close the Public Hearing, <br /> g <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTF,* Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> In response to several of the above comments,Attorney McAuliffe stated <br /> - that by statute,notices are mailed to the abutters of the property, and mailed <br /> and published in the local papers. There is no requirement to notify abutters <br /> located across the street. <br /> i <br /> Attorney McAuliffe requested the Board not penalize the applicant for the <br /> previous management. There is no intent to make the establishment a <br /> common nuisance stated McAuliffe. <br /> Ms. Cloutier added that the menu has not yet been fully determined. <br />
