yd <br /> RtiTARY.: <br /> . :i ., - mss, ,..�•,„ i . <br /> a <br /> Study Goals: Reducing congestion, Improving Safety and Accommodating All Users <br /> Study Objectives: Identify and analyze potential improvements through a community- <br /> driven process, and develop concepts that are consistent with study goals and meet the <br /> local and regional transportation needs. <br /> Background: The Mashpee Rotary is a five-leg, major regional transportation node with <br /> the intersections of Route 28, Route 151, Great Neck Road North, and Great Neck Road <br /> South. The Mashpee Rotary and its approaches have been identified as a priority for <br /> investigation due to congestion and safety issues. Also of key concern is accommodation <br /> for all road users including motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit users. This study <br /> will serve as a continuation of the previous Route 28 study in Eastern Mashpee that <br /> included the Route 130/Route 28 intersection through the Orchard Road/Route 28 <br /> intersection. <br /> Project Facts: <br /> • Mashpee Rotary accommodates over 20,000 vehicles per average summer day <br /> .
