Article 13 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to re-authorize the Recreation Revolving Account, through the <br /> Town Accountant, in accordance with M.G.L., Chapter 44, §53E�/z, to be expended under the <br /> direction of the Recreation Department, said account to be funded by revenues collected from the <br /> various Recreation Department Programs and expended for the purpose of paying such wages, <br /> benefits, and other related costs and expenses as are necessary to conduct Recreation Department <br /> Programs; and to establish the limit on expenditures from said account for FY 2017 at $410,000, <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Recreation Department <br /> Explanation: This revolving account is required in order to receive and disburse funds <br /> generated through programs supported by such revolving fund. Revenues must be used to offset <br /> expenses of these programs. The Recreation Department, through its agents, will manage this <br /> account. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends Town Meeting approval by a vote of 5-0. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends Town Meeting approval by a vote of 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Thomas O'Hara. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to re-authorize the Recreation Revolving Account, through the <br /> Town Accountant, in accordance with M.G.L., Chapter 44, §53E�/z, to be expended under the <br /> direction of the Recreation Department, said account to be funded by revenues collected from the <br /> various Recreation Department Programs and expended for the purpose of paying such wages, <br /> benefits, and other related costs and expenses as are necessary to conduct Recreation Department <br /> Programs; and to establish the limit on expenditures from said account for FY 2017 at $410,000. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 8:21 PM. <br /> Article 14 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to re-authorize the Historical Commission Revolving Account, <br /> through the Town Accountant, in accordance with M.G.L., Chapter 44, §53E�/z, to be expended <br /> under the direction of the Historical Commission; said account to be funded by anticipated <br /> revenues collected from the sale of books related to the history of the Town of Mashpee, which <br /> funds shall be used to further the operations of Historical Commission programs and services, <br /> and to establish the limit on expenditures from said account at $10,000 for FY 2017, or take any <br /> other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Historical Commission <br /> Explanation: This revolving account is required to provide the Historical Commission with <br /> access to funds received from the sale of its book describing the history of Mashpee, rather than <br /> depositing such receipts into the Town's General Fund. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends Town Meeting approval by a vote of 5-0. <br /> 15 <br />
