The applicants will then complete a swim test if they pass the written test with a score of 70 or higher. There were over 15 Applicants for the Harbormaster position and this is the first step in the hiring process. Hopefully the department will hire someone for the position prior to the start of the boating season so an ample amount of training can occur. The automated mooring system is currently being set up for all moorings in Town. This will cut down on the time it takes to issue and renew moorings in the future. It will also allow the public to view waitlists in each mooring areas and to check to see if a mooring inspection is needed. DNR Director/Shellfish Constable Reports: Rick York DNR Director—There has been an incredible amount of shellfish theft within the Town over the past two months. The theft included Oysters from grant holders in Town as well as the Towns propagation program in the Mashpee River. All Oysters sold to market were from either SC16 or SC19 and citations have been issued to an individual as well as a few others I am not aware of. The Massachusetts Environmental Police along with the Department of Natural Resources have been working
