The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of 6-0 (1 absent) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Thomas O'Hara <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from available funds the amount of <br /> $32,500 to the Shellfish Propagation Water Quality Monitoring Expense Account to fund a <br /> monitoring contract with the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth for monitoring water <br /> quality associated with Shellfish Aquaculture in Popponesset Bay and Waquoit Bay and its <br /> effectiveness in reducing water column nutrient concentrations. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 7:26 PM. <br /> Article 7 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from available funds $40,000 to the <br /> Accrued Benefits Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Human Resources Department <br /> Explanation: This article is necessary to cover costs relative to an employee retirement, and <br /> also to replenish the Accrued Benefits Account for possible future use. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval by a vote of 5-0 <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of 6-0 (1 absent) <br /> Motion made by Selectman John Cotton <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from available funds $40,000 to the <br /> Accrued Benefits Account. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 7:27 PM. <br /> Article 8 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from available funds $35,000 to the <br /> Human Resources Consulting Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Human Resources Department <br /> Explanation: This funding would allow the Town to contract with a professional consultant to <br /> conduct a salary compensation and job description analysis. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval by a vote of 5-0. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval by a vote of 4-2 (1 absent) <br /> 5 <br />
