The fleet includes a total of 82 vehicles and various other small <br /> equipment such as tractors, mowers, etc. Prior to this change, vehicle maintenance in other <br /> departments —Police, Fire, Town Hall, Senior Center, and School Departments - was performed <br /> at outside garages or by private contractor. The change has resulted in significant savings for the <br /> Town, both in lower repair costs and shorter vehicle down time. There is currently one Mechanic <br /> 15 <br />
