11 Board of Selectmen Minutes March 11, 2019 Approval of Letter to the Division of Marine Fisheries: Shellfish Surveys for Aquaculture Grants in accordance with MGL Chapter 130, Section 57: With the recent approval of additional Shellfish Aquaculture License grants; one acre in Ockway Bay and the expansion of on acre to seven acres on Hamblin Pond,the Director of Natural Resources recommended the Board submit communication to the Division of Marine Fisheries requesting a shellfish survey as required by M.G.L. Chapter 130, §7. A sample letter was attached to the correspondence received from Richard York; DNR Director dated March 11, 2019. It was noted that Ashley Fisher, Mashpee Shellfish Constable would be able to assist with the survey. Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the letter to the Division of Marine Fisheries as drafted requesting a survey of the shellfish areas. Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Roll Call Vote: Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Opposed, none Discussion and Approval to delegate the Board of Selectmen's Authority to Regulate Parking on Public Ways of the Town During Snow Emergencies to the Town Manager: Correspondence was received from Town Counsel Patrick J. Costello regarding the delegation of authority to regulate parking on public ways during snow emergencies. It is the opinion of Town Counsel; it is permissible for the Board of Selectmen to delegate this authority to the Town Manager. Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to authorize the Town Manager to declare snow emergency parking bans during snow emergencies provided the Board of Selectmen receives notice in advance.
