12 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 11, 2019 <br /> Town Manager's Review of FY 2020 Capital improvement Program: <br /> It was disclosed the Planning & Construction Committee met last week and voted to not <br /> recommend the DNR building in the area of the Ockway Bay boat ramp due to visual and <br /> environmental impacts as well as site constraints. The proposal regarding the use of electric <br /> vehicles was also deferred. <br /> The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Committee is anticipated to reconvene on Tuesday, <br /> March 19, 2019 to make the final determination on the FY 2020 CIP budget. <br /> Discussion of Topics and Dates for Joint Meetings of the Town's Regulatory Boards: <br /> The Board of Selectmen agreed to continue conducting joint workshop meetings with the Town's <br /> Regulatory Boards. The date of Monday, April 29, 2019 was selected for the next meeting <br /> scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. The topic would be economic development and new <br /> opportunities for growth and revenue. It was determined the focus would include representatives <br /> from Joint Base Cape Cod, Mashpee Commons, LLP,New Seabury, Willowbend, Southport,the <br /> Cape Cod Health Care, and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. Members of the Mashpee <br /> Wampanoag Tribe and EDIC Board would also be invited to attend the workshop session. <br /> Discussion of Process for Submission of Town Meeting Articles: <br /> To timely adhere to Town Meeting warrant deadlines in February and July, it was agreed the <br /> Board of Selectmen would review proposed articles generated by the Board of Selectmen one <br /> month prior,to allow for adequate review and timely placement on the warrant. <br />
