Executive <br /> Secretary informed the Board that Town Counsel would be sending infor- <br /> mation pertaining to Job's Fishing Road in writing to the Board. <br /> 11. ) On the budget preparation memo Board recommends that a draft be <br /> forwarded to the Personnel Board before they meet with them on <br /> Monday, December 13, 1982. <br /> 12 . ) Board discussed the letters from Attorney Michael Gilman pertaining <br /> to the Police Union and Mashpee Police Employee 's Association. Board's <br /> feelings or decision is still the same. <br /> 13. ) Board reviewed the memo from Mr. Ernest Virgilio, Superintendent of <br /> Streets , relating to the potholes on Hooppole Road. Board declared <br /> an emergency. Executive Secretary to send 'reply to Mr. Virgilio <br /> to use his judgement and repair the necessary potholes that are a <br /> danger to public safety. <br /> 14 . ) Board read the letter from Mr. and Mrs. David Tremblett. Board asked <br /> Executive Secretary to call the Police Chief and the Fire Chief and <br /> have them come to this meeting as soon as . possible . <br /> 16 . ) While waiting for the Chiefs to arrive the Board discussed the Region- <br /> al Transit _Authority update on transportation from Woods Hole , Falmouth, <br /> Mashpee, to Hyannis . Chm. Thomas explained how this is a pioneer effort <br /> and that the Board should support it. Sel. Garland said that he has <br /> problems with the entire thing and he would defer the matter to Chm. <br /> Thomas and to Ernest Virgilio, Superintendent of Streets . Chm. Thomas <br /> explained that they are in need of money to keep it going. Chm. Thomas <br /> asked if Sel. Garland would put a ceiling price of $600 . 00 to help them <br /> out. Sel. Garland said the Board would support their effort but that <br /> the Town should not exceed $850 . 00 in their help. <br /> The !Police Chief Mr.. Curtis Frye and the Fire Chief Mr. James Priestly arrived <br /> at 10 :55 a.m. Copies of Mr: and Mrs . Tremblett's letter was given to both <br /> Chiefs . Chiefs were given time to read the letter. <br /> Chm. Thomas : "This is a formal complaint and what we don' t know seriously <br /> is how to handle this . We are looking to you as Chiefs for <br /> guidance as this. refers to 'your men. I think this Board has <br /> taken care of the public and that response, now she has taken <br /> it a little bit further by putting it in writing, so now it <br /> becomes formal . What are your thoughts on it?" <br /> Chief Frye : " what she has against,.Sgt. Cooper is that he condoned what <br /> Martini let happen. "," <br /> Chm. Thomas : " Also we have heard from, is it professor?" <br /> Executive Secretary: "Dean Sullivan. " <br /> Chm. Thomas : " He is not to happy about the outcome of the informal hearing. <br /> He feels very unhappy with Sgt. Cooper's performance . " <br />
