MASHPEE COMMUNITY GARDEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE (MCGAC) <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> February 20, 2019 - 7:00 P.M. <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL — OCKWAY MEETING ROOM <br /> 16 Great Neck Road <br /> Present: Virginia Scharfenberg, Anthony Oliver, Irene Checkovich, Michael Talbot <br /> Absent: Pamela McCarthy, Mohamad Fand, and Stephanie Simpson <br /> Call to Order <br /> Chairman Virginia Scharfenberg opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Minutes —January 16, 2019 <br /> Motion: Irene Checkovich moved to approve the minutes of January 16, 2019, <br /> seconded by Anthony Oliver. Vote unanimous 4-0. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> REPORTS <br /> Town of Mashpee Web Page: MCGAC — photo and text update <br /> The members discussed the creation of the MCGAC web page - The Chair stated Mohamad <br /> Fand has been working on the website. It was decided to have Mohammed post the info with <br /> the condition that he has a "coming soon button" and his email so people can contact him <br /> with any questions. The members would then review the info and suggest changes if <br /> necessary. The Chair will email Mohammad and give him the go ahead to post the info. <br /> Status of Review of MCGAC Garden Application and Indemnification Letter <br /> The members reviewed the email from Wayne Taylor in response to questions the members <br /> had regarding donations, revolving account, and bidding process. It was noted it was too late <br /> to set up a Revolving Account since the articles were due for the town meeting on February <br /> 11. It was noted the members need to make sure the article for the revolving account is <br /> submitted in time to be included in the October town meeting. It was decided to request a <br /> meeting with Mr. Collins and Mr. Taylor to get answers to the following questions. <br /> 1 Which department does MCGAC fall under? <br /> 2 How do we set up donation account? <br /> 3 Set up Revolving Account? <br /> 4 Status of approval of the garden application? <br /> 5 Status of approval of the indemnification account or if that is not going to be used what <br /> is the alternative? <br />
