COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES <br /> MEETING MARCH 13, 2019 <br /> MASHPEE SENIOR CENTER <br /> Present: Council on Aging Members: David Egel, Marijo Gorney, Jean Noussee, <br /> Norah McCormick and Council on Aging Director Lynne Waterman and Outreach <br /> Coordinator Lauren Haddad <br /> Absent: Virginia McIntyre, Mary Gaffney <br /> Chairman David Egel opened the meeting at 9:00 a.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: February 13, 2019 minutes <br /> Motion: Jean Noussee moved to approve the February 13 minutes, seconded by <br /> Marijo Gorney. Vote 3-0-1 with Norah McCormick abstaining. <br /> Public Comment— None <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Director's Report <br /> The Director distributed her report for the month of February. She highlighted she met <br /> with several leaders of various ongoing activities.She thanked the SHINE Program for <br /> placing an additional volunteer counselor at the Senior Center. The Director and the <br /> Activity Coordinator continue to research new and different activities for the seniors. <br /> The Director reported there were no issues with the building. The Director, Outreach <br /> Coordinator, and Mini Bus Driver met to discuss and review transportation services. <br /> The Director reviewed the meetings she attended: Staff, Department Head, Mashpee <br /> Inclusion and Diversity Committee, COAST (Cape Cod Senior Center Directors), and <br /> Mashpee Human Services. She conducted an event at the Senior Center to explain the <br /> Healthy Aging-Cape Cod survey to the members. <br /> The Director listed her goals are to complete the Healthy Aging-Cape Cod check list for <br /> Mashpee and submit to Barnstable County Health and Human Services and she <br /> thanked everyone who assisted her with the checklist. The Director will also continue <br /> orienting Volunteer Coordinator to her responsibilities. <br />
