Al noted in his written report submitted that <br /> Mashpee is looking forward to Storm water Remediation project at Mashpee beck Rd., <br /> Shoestring Bay, (MA-SW-2) with an estimated construction cost of$177.000. <br /> Waterways Improvement Plan and Dredging: Ken Bates reported that the Barnstable <br /> Waterways Commission approved the 1916 Channel Maintenance Dredging project and <br /> will forward a note to their Conservation Commission. Conservation Commission <br /> approvals are needed from both the Barnstable and the Mashpee Conservation <br /> Commissions. Both Commissions require a report from the State MESA/MEPA which i <br /> not expected out until August 22 . Rick York noted that the Mashpee Shellfish <br /> Committee unanimously approved this Project and sera a note to the Mashpee <br /> Conservation Commission. The State Division of Marine Fisheries sent their comment to <br /> the Barnstable Conservation Commission and the engineers. The Mashpee Conservation <br /> hearing is scheduled for the 19that 7P1 . <br /> Harborrna ter report; Perm Ellis, Harbormaster reported that the Ma hp ee lakes are <br /> having problems with out of state jet-ski users. There have beerymiryg s issued to out <br /> of Mate users who are towing tubers, and water skiers, which is not allowed under Mass <br /> Mate Lay. Also some underage operators have also been warned to cease operations as <br /> their p <br /> e r ages are below those required b our Mate. <br /> Mr. Steve Lempitski made a presentation on his request to move a speed marker to <br /> provide added protection to boats in an adjacent mooring field in the Pirates Cove area. <br /> Voted: A notion made by Bill Taylor, seconded by Steve Pinard to allow the <br /> Harbormaster to handle the relocation request as the location would fall under the <br /> Harbormasters jurisdiction, vote was approved unanimous of membersp resent. <br /> Old Business: <br /> Iden Bates updated the Commission that the email sent to the LAS Coast Guard, Group <br /> Woods Hole, to the attention of Mr. David Edelson, regarding a request for process and <br /> status information for obtaining a Navigation Buoy at the entrance to Pop onesset Ba <br /> has not been responded to. Iden will pursue further for a response. <br /> Iden reported that he will be setting a date to meet with officials to discuss theotential <br /> use of p <br /> the Town Landfill for storage and draining of dredge material from aro osed <br /> p p <br /> llshpee River Entrance project being explored by the Commission. <br /> New Business: <br /> Derr Bates advised that the original invoice submitted to the Town by SMAST is not <br /> correct and that fir Brian Howes will insure that a corrected invoice will be seat and can <br /> be reviewed at the next waterways Commission meeting. <br />
