Some of the changes discussed included the establishment of <br /> Bay Managers and Boat Captains as well as an improved process ofdelivering n collecting sampling <br /> equipment needed. Additional meetings were held with key managers who welcomed the ideas discussed. <br /> Steve reported that during the next few weeks he will be completing the draft plan based on initial input <br /> from all,and sending the draft to ken managers for their final input and suggestions. <br /> County Maintenance Dredge Status for Popponesset Bay: <br /> Perry Ellis and Ken Bates updated the group on the status of the dredging of the outer entrance channel t <br /> Popponesset Bay. The requested change in the Dredge dates extension to a completion date of February <br /> 15,has been approved by the Corps of Engineers and the State DER The Dredge is expected to be on site <br /> by the coming week-end and actual dredging of the outer bay channel to start shortly thereafter and <br /> completed within the permit extension window. <br /> Public Access: No report <br /> Old Business <br /> Iden Bates reported that he had completed the Draft Town Meeting Warrant for the waterways <br /> Commission. These are suggested Articles that would be sent to the Burd of Selectmen prior to the <br /> submittal cut off dates. Copies of these and the Water Quality SMAST proposals would be forthcoming t <br /> the Commission members. <br /> Ken Bates asked for comments and suggested changes desired by Commission mernbers to his draft 2009 <br /> Goals and Objectives . Steve Pinard suggested that ongoing waquoit Bay maintenance dredging details <br /> could be added. In addition, Steve suggested that the Commission could benefit from learning more about <br /> the Aqua Farms Program in 11 ashpe . Ike proposed that Shellfish Constable Rick York, who oversees <br /> Aqua Farms be asked to present a report on 11hpe Aqua Farms which could include reaps of existing <br /> waquoit and Popponesset Bay permits and outlining areas of potential growth,revenue opportunities, <br /> current regulations,and a focus on Waterway Navigation marker needs and requirements,etc. Dick York <br /> agreed to make a formal presentation on this subject. It was decided to place this on the agenda of the April <br /> 14 meeting as a special presentation. <br /> New Business: <br /> None <br /> orres ondence <br /> suggestion to consider a permanent Notice of Meeting process was discussed.
