Passed by unanimous vote <br /> Old Business <br /> 1. Aquaculture project review, Waquoit Bay,New Permit Application—Kuusela Grant <br /> Ken Bates reported that as of Monday, September 8, there were no drawings <br /> submitted to the Commission by Richard Kuusela . The drawings, and related <br /> information such as proposed area GPS coordinates, equipment details, Formal <br /> engineering details, and boundary markings ings had been-requested by the Waterways <br /> Commission at the August 19, Public Hearing as well as the June meeting. This <br /> information is considered essential for the proper evaluation of the project as part of the <br /> Aquaculture Permit request process. It was decided that a letter from the Commission <br /> would be sent to the Board of Selectmen detailing the status of this Permit request. <br /> A discussion concluded that in light of increased activity in the areas waterways <br /> that all active grants be marled in accordance with current regulations. A letter will be <br /> sent to the Board of Selectmen regarding this recommendation mendation and the meed for <br /> enforcement. <br /> In addition, a recent article in the Mashpee Enterprise regarding the Wapanoag <br /> Aquaculture areas, draws attention to the reed for accurate and well maintained area � <br /> markings. <br /> 2. Harbormaster Deport---Perry Ellis: Labor Day week was the busiest period in recent <br /> memory for area boating activity. Weekdays are much quieter, and small boats are being <br /> pulled. Perry Ellis noted that many owners heeded warnings regarding the recent storm, <br /> and checked mooring lines, moorings, and dock fenders etc. It was good to see the <br /> response. only one boat dragged its moorings during the storm peak. The harbormaster <br /> crew re-aligned the Popponesset channel markers after the weekend storm. <br /> 2. Shellfish Constable Deport---No report <br /> . Committee Deports <br /> _ 1 _ <br />
