Barnstable Countv Coastal Resources—Gerry Daly reorted that the next <br /> I project <br /> is scheduled to begin November 20. <br /> Fresh Water-to be assigned <br /> Har ortnaster-Ferry Ellis reported that all theear and lake patrol boats is are out of <br /> the water . one salt water boat is out for repair, and the remaining boats will be <br /> out <br /> within three weeks. Perry Ellis reported that the outer channel to Po <br /> pponesset Bay is <br /> 0% filled in and the inside channel is in poor condition. The outer channel currently <br /> feet at MLW is scheduled to be dredged 11/20. <br /> Shelf h-Rick York advised that both patrol boats remain in the water <br /> year round. <br /> Seeded scallops and quahogs are complete. The Mash ee Waterp Quahty Frogxam i <br /> being coordinated by the Shellfish Constable. Gear to measure water quality 1n Sarltul <br /> Bay is in use and a second rneasun*ng device islammed off G s rr Island.and. Fuanding <br /> for the Estuaries Project has been completed. Rick York introduced <br /> .fenny Burkhardt <br /> from the Americorp Cape Cod who has been assisting him in these ` <br /> prod cts. <br /> WatQua lrty-Ken Bates announced that he and Steve Pinard will <br /> cin to review <br /> Water Quality certificates that are on file and determine if the have <br /> y been correctly <br /> completed. They will write letters to issuers of the water quality certificates r` <br /> f needed <br /> and point out errors and the need for changes and corrections, <br /> New Business <br /> Ken Bates reported that he and Steve Pinard will reviewrevious Annual ul Reports <br /> of the waterways Commission submitted to the Board ofSelect erg ` <br /> and establish goals <br /> for the comma year. The secretary will submit a draft of this ear <br /> . y report to Waterway <br /> Commission members for review and approval prior to submitting to the <br /> Selectmen. <br /> Ken Bates reported that a Mate Form announcingthe start date for the <br /> November <br /> o, 2008 dredge project will be sent to the Commonwealth as required. <br /> He will also copy <br /> Mr. Chia of the Commonwealth onwealth and the Mashp ee Conservation Agent. <br /> Ken Bates discussed the waterways Improvement Six Modeling report p rt that was <br /> seat to the Board of Selectmen. Ken has not yet heard back from therm but <br /> does expect <br /> he and Jim Danks will be reviewing the report with them. More info th <br /> p information on the <br /> model will be pursued by the commission and will be reviewed with the commission <br /> members at the next meeting. <br /> The invoice in the amount of$9000 that was discussed and approved pp d at the last <br /> meeting will be processed for release of payment to the Selectmen's <br /> office. <br /> Ken Bates announced the establishment of a Personnel Committee consisting of <br /> Iden Bates, Tim Needham, and Steve Pinard.
