Public Comment: Ed Baker expressed interest in reviewing the status of the Mashpee River <br /> dredging project. He was assured that it was on the agenda and would be discussed later in the <br /> meeting. Ed also noted he had heard that the Barnstable landfill recently received approval to <br /> take dredge spoils. Vice Chairman Jim Hanks volunteered to seek confirmation of this <br /> information from landfill officials. <br /> . Review of Minutes—The minutes from 6 January 2004 were reviewed. Jim Hanks moved <br /> they he accepted as written. Tim Leedh m seconded the motion. The motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSMSS <br /> 1. Harbormaster Report—I rry Ellis -Perry Ellis reported that 75% of the docks in town have <br /> been damaged by ice this winter. He noted that the county dredge currently is frozen in the ice, <br /> but is hopeful that the late January schedule for dredging the outer channel of the Popponesset <br /> Spit would not be impacted too much. Perry also said that Zoo mooring bill payments had <br /> already been received. Finally,he stated that another monetary article for the upcoming town <br /> meeting would be needed for dredging outside of Popponeset Island(4,000 cubic yards), <br /> quoit Bay(2,000 cubic yards in Little River and Great River), dock repairs and other <br /> necessary purchases. Jing Hanks volunteered to draft an article requesting $40,000 - $50,000 to <br /> submit to town meeting. <br /> Page 1 of <br />
