A# <br /> , �. hpee, joyCq 02649 45 <br /> MASHPEE WATERWAYS COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES JANUARY , 1995 � <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bennett Gordon, Dan Homeyer, Jim Hanks, <br /> Don Lund, Herb Silver. <br /> CALIF TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 7: 10 p.m. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT T PERI D: None. <br /> . ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES: The Minutes of December 6 , 1994 were <br /> accepted with the following corrections: - .l reference in the <br /> motion to Chapter 90 should be Chapter 91 ; p. 3 reference relating <br /> to adopting Chap. 90 fine fee schedule should be 90B. <br /> PARTICIPATION IN 125TH ANNIVERSARY: dill McKay was introduced, <br /> and he distributed a handout entitled "Boat Parade 1995" for <br /> the 125th Anniversary Celebration in Mashdee. The target date <br /> is the July 4th weekend which has good tides and flexibility <br /> if wined out. fir. McKay stated there could be prizes for <br /> decorations , volunteer judges, phtocontest, shellfish giveaway, <br /> and dory woes just to name a few ideas . Boats w ould- represent - <br /> a span of 150 gears , and the parade would pass in review at <br /> South Cape Beach. fir* Hanks suggested having a contingency <br /> plan for wind. bead Neck Beach was recommended as a good spot <br /> to have a picnic afterward. Mr. Homeyer noted that the <br /> -Wam anoags have their Pow Wow that weekend; Bill will check <br /> into this. Dr. Gordon suggested starting at Succonnesset Shoals , <br /> then passing South Cape Beach, and ending up at Waquoit jetty. <br /> Mr. McKay ill return to the February meeting to discuss the <br /> details further. <br /> return - <br /> REVIEW OF PROPOSED MAY TOWN MEETING BY-LAW ARTICLES: <br /> Mr, Homeyer distributed the proposed May Town Meeting By-Law <br /> Articles he and fir. Ellis developed, and he reviewed them <br /> individually. They will have to be sbbmitted by February 4 , <br /> 1995 . Dr. Gordon noted that the change of reference from Coastal <br /> Inland Wate--ways to Waterways Commission should be included; <br /> Nor, Homeyer- noted he would add this change to 174-25 19 on page <br /> 17438. Dr. Cordon made a motion to submit Mr, Homeyer's By- <br /> Law <br /> y-Law Revisions to the Selectmen, Mr. Homeyer seconded it.' Mr. <br /> Hanks expressed concern with enforcement if Waterways <br /> Commissioners do not understand ghat they are promoting. <br /> i1 <br />
