To= of Mashpee <br /> ' W to rwa * i <br /> 16 Great Mick 2ZPadNorth <br /> Mashpee., MA 02649 <br /> MA HPEE WATERWAYS COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES MAY . 1995 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PE ENT: Ben 'Gordon, Dan Homeyer, Jim Hanks, <br /> Don Lund, Herb Silver, Fred Fordham. <br /> Also Present: Perry Ellis, Harbormaster <br /> Donnas Homeyer <br /> CALL To ORDER:# The meeting was called to order at 7 : 05 -p.m. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: Mr. Homeyer recommended that in the <br /> Waterways Annual Report they refudiate Con omm' s remarks in <br /> their Annual Report re: di turban es to the ecosystem. Dr, <br /> Gordon recommended sending at letter to Con Comm asking for proof <br /> re: their remarks in the Annual Report. Mr. Homeyer offered <br /> to draft a letter requesting Con Comm to submit goof that <br /> boasters do damage to fragile bottom mollusks and invertibrate . <br /> This was put in the form of a motion, seconded, and voted <br /> unanimously in favor. Dr. Gordon asked Mr. Homeyer, to present ' <br /> the draft to him, and he will review and send it out. <br /> The Minutes of March 7 , 1995 were unanimously approved. <br /> eView ofMay Town Meeting: Dr. Gordon expressed concern that <br /> most of the Articles ertatinin to Waterways were not included <br /> t the May meeting. It was- noted that some of the Articles <br /> were moved by the Selectmen to the Fall meeting. Mr. Homeyer <br /> noted that Jane Latbute told hire financing Articles are dome <br /> �r� the spring while housekeeping' ' n ones are done in the fall. <br /> Mr. Homeyer recommended doing the - remaining Articles as <br /> petition (getting 10 registered voters) to avoid any delay , <br /> and Jane Labute has offered her assistance. George Costa i <br /> the liaison for Waterways and could be of help also, <br /> 1 <br /> The plan is to delete 170By-laws and adopt Chapter 90B State <br /> Laws. Articles will be submitted by the Waterways ommission <br /> for the October Town Meeting. The sub-comm 1 ttee comprised of <br /> Mr. Fordam, Mr. Homeyer, and Mr. Lund will work ahead on this <br /> endeavor. Dr. Gordon appointed Mr. Silver to take Perry -Ellis ' s <br /> place; Mr.' Ellis will act as at consultant. Mr. Homeyer gave <br /> Mr. Silver a copy of 90B, and noted that Sections 1-19 from <br /> the law book are in the Selectmen ' s office. <br />
