Project Representative's Daily Report Page 1 of
Report No. 2
Date: 7131196
Architect: strealovslty& Holt, Inc. Enterprises
Boa's Excavating
TOTAL 1 7 j
Notes: Excavating subcontractor is working In area of new entrance stair and east sive addition
to building. several foundation wails have been uncovered and appear to be the remnant
of old areaways, and an old stair. None of the walls had footers and were tial to the
building foundation wall with what appears to be 348 bars a@ 12'0+1-at top of walls.
The best guess is that these were frost galls only. There was no slab work or abandoned
drains at what appeared to be the bottom of the areaways. Excavated earth is a sandy
soil.
Demolition work crew has removed the masonry infill panels from the existing east
foundation wall, lower level.
The existing unit ventilator alond the exterior wall in storage area adjacent to meeting
rooms has been removed, leaving a large opening at ground level approx. 6-0"+/-
long
-
1 ng x 2"6"+/-high. No provisions have been made to make up temporary closure panels
The building is wide open.
In attempting to remove sections of existing excavated concrete foundation walls,
the equipment operator for the demolition subcontractor placed a strain on the right
hydraulic ram on the Bobcat bucket, and the ram gave way. The Bobcat is in creed
of repairs before being operated again.
Towards the end of the work clay, the Town of Mashpee Bldg. Inspector, Mr.
William Hauch, approached both the.Job Supt and writer and voiced certain complaints
about the following site conditions:
1 Temporary power panels on 4x4''mast head at end of temporary municipal offices
are open to the weather. Mr. Hauck wants to see theca enclosed and weather-
proofed! Note: attempts were made by the writer to point out that DAgostino
Associates had no wart in the construction of the temporary power parcels- Other
parties had let the contract to a separate electrical cubcontractor.
