Page 1 Town Hall Building Committee Minutes November 13, 1996 Present: Jim Vaccaro,Ray Martini, Charles Buckingham,Bob Fox Executive Secretary Robert Whritenour Assistant to the Executive Secretary Joyce Mason Guests: Roger Hoit- Strekalovsky and Hoit,Inc. Kenneth Marsters- Board of Selectmen liaison Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Vaccaro at 1:00 p.m. Town Hall Conference Trailer. MINUTES: Wednesday. October 30. 1996: Motion made by Mr. Martini to approve the minutes of Wednesday, October 30, 1996 as presented. Motion seconded by Mr. Buckingham. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. TOUR OF FACILITY: The Committee conducted a tour of the Town Hall facility. Meeting re-convened: 1:25 p.m. REPORT OF THE ARCHITECT: Roger Hoit,Project Architect discussed the progress of the Town Hall renovation project with members of the Town Hall Building Committee. Mr.Hoit indicated that the week of December 10, 1996 remains the target date for occupancy. All work should be substantially completed at the point of occupancy with the exception of minor punch list items. It was noted that front entrance will receive a base coat of asphalt within the next few weeks. The Committee addressed concerns with regards to the installation of the final asphalt binder as it relates to general December weather conditions. In addition,the portable office facilities must be removed from site prior to this phase of the construction process. The Committee requested the Architect insulate the exterior water piping located in the rear of the Town Hall facility. Selectman Marsters requested the Architect accelerate the construction process, and furnish an updated schedule to the Committee for review. It was noted that Mr. Marsters is updating the Board of Selectmen on a weekly basis with regards to construction activities.
