MASHPEE TOWN HALL BUILDING COMMITTEE <br /> Minutes for June 14, 1995 <br /> Page <br /> would be Thursday, July 6tht and Tuesday, July 11 the from 1:00 p.m. to approxi mate l <br /> 6:00 p.m. both days. ,din asked Bob v hriten ur to look into getting the Senior Center <br /> for conducting the interviews. Jim stated that if additional interview dates were <br /> determined to be needed, they could be scheduled after the June 28th Committee <br /> meeting. <br /> The net meeting of the Town Hall Building Committee was scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on <br /> Wednesday, June 28, 1995. At that time, the Committee will select the semi-finalists t <br /> be interviewed. <br /> Bob Whritenour stated that he had had a good meeting with the computer people <br /> regarding the best way to renovate the building for computers with regard to Ethernet <br /> wiring capabilities within the building. He explained that allowing for an Ethernet wiring <br /> "backbone, into the building will provide the flexibility that they need for setting up the <br /> 4 <br /> computer network within the building. <br /> Bob Fox asked if the electrical schematics were t be provided by the architects t <br /> which Bob Whritenour stated that it was required as pert of the FFP. It is also required <br /> that the architect state who they will be subcontracting the electrical, as well as any <br /> other subcontracting, out t . Jing stated that a lot of larger firms would hand over, what <br /> they consider to be, a smaller jab such as the renovation to their "B" team. He stated <br /> that this is whir, many times, it is better to go with a smaller firm. He stated that it was <br /> very important that the Committee determine during the interviews who would be the <br /> architect's team leader. <br /> Bob Fox asked if the bidders had seen the design option selected by the Selectmen. <br /> Bob Whritenour stated that they had. He also added that it would be interesting to see <br /> who uses this conceptual design, who cores in with something totally different, and <br /> who cores in with no conceptual design. <br /> Ray Martini asked if any ,more consideration had been given to who people within the <br /> building were going to be shifted around during the renovation. Jim stated that this was <br /> also a part of the RFP. Bob Whritenour suggested that it would be a good idea for the <br /> Committee to look at what a Town Hall would look like in a trailer. Jim stated they may <br /> have to end up using both the Great Room and a trailer. Bob Whriten ur asked if the <br /> Committee should send a letter to Dr. Lincoln Dell ura informing hire of the need for <br /> his offices to relocate. Jiro stated he had already spoken to Dr. De Jl ura, but asked <br /> Bob to ask Dr. DeMoura if he feels he needs a written letter. <br /> Jim presented the meeting ,minutes from the May 19� 1995, Committee meeting and <br /> asked all members if they had any corrections/additions to the minutes. As there were <br /> none, Ray Martial motioned to accept the minutes from the May 10, 1995, meeting <br />
