I IA HP E TOWN HALL BUILDING COMMITTEE <br /> Minutes for June 23, 1995 <br /> Page <br /> Jiro Vaccaro stated his selections were: <br /> Donham & Sweeney, Inc. <br /> Strekal ovky & Hoit, Inc. <br /> Diilarinii & Wolfe <br /> C I ifford/Hoffmans Associates <br /> Preservation Partnership <br /> Jim stated that he felt that interviewing the top four candidates would be sufficient. <br /> However, if the Committee felt that it was required, additional interviews could be <br /> scheduled. He suggested that two interviews be conducted each day for two days and <br /> asked for a motion to schedule these interviews. Bob Fox motioned for the <br /> Committee to arrange and conduct interviews with Donham & Sweeney, Inc.; <br /> Strekal v k H it, Inc.; Di arini i & Wolfe; and Preservation Partnership for the <br /> purpose of selecting architect candidates for the renovation of the Tern Hall <br /> building to present to the Board of Selectmen. Ray Martini seconded the motion, <br /> which was carried by a unanimous Grote. <br /> ,din asked Bob Whritenour if he had been able to obtain the Senior Center to conduct <br /> these interviews. Bob stated he had. Jim suggested they interview a candidate at 1:00 <br /> p.m. and a second candidate at 3:0p.m. This would provide sufficient time for a 3 - <br /> o minute presentation by the architect, a 2 - 30 minute question and answer period, <br /> and still leave enough time in between interviews for Committee discussion and a <br /> break. Jinn asked Brenda Achille, Board Secretary, to set up the interviews as follows: <br /> Thursday, .July 6, 1995 - 1:00 P.M. Di Iarini i & Wolfe <br /> 3.00 p.m. Preservation Partnership <br /> Tuesday, .July 11 r 1995 - 1; 0 P.M. Strekalovky & Hoi , Inc. <br /> 3:00 p.m.. on a & Sweeney, Inc. <br /> Jinn stated that if any audio/visual equipment is needed, it would need to be provided b <br /> the candidates. These interviews are to be conducted at the Carol Jacobson Senior <br /> Center, Great Neck Fad North, Mashpee, Mass. <br /> Sharron asked if the project was scheduled to be completed by January 31: 1997. She <br /> stated that when applying for the handicapped access grantx it specifies that the work <br /> must be completed by this date. The Committee informed her that the estimated finish <br /> date was September, 1996. Sharon also asked if the building had any historical <br /> significance. Both Jiro and Bob Whritenour relayed to her some of its significance. <br /> They stated that although it has historical significance to the Town of Ma hpee, it was <br /> not considered a national historical site. <br />
