He asked if they had any closing <br /> remarks. Mr. Hoit stated that he felt they had presented a viable option for the budget <br /> allowed. He stated that this would be a primary project for therm and would be able t <br /> begin immediately if awarded the contract. ,Jinn thanked the Str kal v ky & Hoit tear <br /> for their presentation. <br /> After the Str kal v ky & Hoit team had left, ,Jim asked for the Committee members' <br /> opinions and comments. All members agreed that Strakal vsky & Hoit had presented <br /> very thorough presentation and had offered some very interesting options. Jiro stated <br /> that the only adverse comment made during the high school building project architect <br /> selection was that Strklvky & Hit had not had enough new construction <br /> experience. Ho r v r, he stated that their type of renovation/restoration experience <br /> was hit they were looking for in the current project. Bob Fox had stated that he had <br /> heard that Strkalovsky & Hoit had an excellent reputation. ,Jiro stated he felt that the <br /> Committee had received very straight forth and honest replies to their questions. Greg <br /> started that he was quite impressed with the job they had done on the Mashpee Middle <br /> School addition project. ,Jim agreed and felt that Strkalovsky & Hoit had also provided <br /> good follow up during that project. Bob vhritanour stated that he liked their idea of <br /> grouping public services offices together and within easy access to the public. All <br /> members agreed. Greg stated that he agreed with their suggestion for using trailers as <br /> temporary office space during the project. Jim stated that it made more sense to <br /> prepare the upstairs for future expansion versus trying to build over the 1960's building. <br /> Bob Fox stated that he liked their honesty in admitting that the best way to complete the <br /> project was to move the offices out into trailers during the construction. Greg agreed <br /> and stated that it was also a more cast effective option. <br /> The net interview began at 3:02 p.m. by Jiro greeting Tadhg Sweeney of Donham <br /> Sweeney. IIIb. Sweeney distributed to Committee members an agenda of his <br /> presentation. He stated that he would like to pick up where he left off last May and <br /> presented a floor plan for the project. He suggested locating the Selectmen's Meeting <br /> Room in the basement to resolve the problem of moving anyone into the basement. H <br /> suggested placing the most highly used offices on the first floor; i.e., Town Clerk, <br /> Assessor's office. He suggested a centrally located conference room for use by all <br /> administrative offices. Mr. Sweeney offered suggestions for the exterior of the building <br /> to include creating a peaked roof over the flat roof of the 1960's building as part of the <br /> preparation for the second phase addition of a second floor. He stated that he felt they <br /> could find the money necessary for this by reusing as much as possible in this first <br /> phase. Mr. Sweeney stated that it was very important to keep Phase 11 in mina during <br /> Phase I. He stated that they were recently awarded the Carlisle Town Offices project. <br /> He also started that with their present workload, they could begin on this project <br /> immediately. He cited their past experience working on this type of project and stated <br /> that they had experience working in occupied buildings. He feels that it is very <br />
