Mr. Holt stated that they will make every effort to reuse any existing iters that can possibly be reused and will keep the Committee -mer bers apprised at all times. Charlie Buckingham motioned t recommend to the Selectman the cost of design services to b $130,000* Ray Martini seconded the motion. This motion was carried by a unanimous vote with ar concurrence of the Ex- ffi i s. Jim informed Mr. Holt that this would be the Committee's recommendation that they would bring to the August 14, 1995, Selectmen's meeting. However, he added that they could not guarantee anything until after that meeting. Mr. Hit stated that he would like to obtaina copy of the original documents from Dunham and Sweeney. ,Jiro stated that the Committee could provide this to him. Mr. Holt also stated that he will try and get in touch with Gaffney, who did the addition, t obtain a copy of the blueprints. He also stated that he would begi-n to put together a work schedule. ,Jim stated that he would contact ,John Giorgio, Town Counsel, to draw up the contract. Mr. Hit stated that he is delighted that they were awarded this -contract and that this was a job that they very much wanted to do. He added that he hoped to make the C rnr i tee members happy with the selection they made. Mr. Holt thanked the Committee members 'and left the meeting. After Mr. Holt had left, -Jim informed the Committee members that they had budgeted $229,000 for design fees, which had included ar Clerk of the Works. He reported that they had already saved arppr imately $60,000 in the design fee negotiation with Mr. Fl it. A brief d,iscussloh was held reviewing the iters discussed and' Jim stated that he feels they are going to be very pleased with Strekalovsky and Hjoit. He reported that Donham and Sweeney had been very disappointed that they had not been awarded the contract. ,Jim presented the meeting minutes from the July 19, 1995, Committee meeting and asked all members if they had any corrections/additions to the minutes. As there were none, Charlie Buckingham motioned to accept the minutes from the July 19, 1995, meeting of the Town Hall Building Committee, Ray Martini seconded the motion, which was carried with a unanimous vote* Jim stated that the net Town Hall Building Committee meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, August 9: 1995, at 2:00 p.m. . .Jim stated that he would talk with Dr. Lincoln DeMoura about being able to use the room in the Great Floor for storage.
