Town o,f Mashpee <br /> ; 16 Creat d%ck Awl d orth <br /> "�x,pLw Washpee,Nf assachusetts 02649 <br /> Conservation Commission Minutes <br /> Thursday, March 28, 2019 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Present: Dale McKay, Brad Sweet, Thomas O'Neill, Charles Dalton <br /> Also Present: Conservation Agent Andrew McManus <br /> CALL MEETING TO ORDER: 6:00 p.m. <br /> Chairman Dale McKay opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. <br /> PRE/POST-HEARING AGENDA: <br /> Minutes: Approve March 14, 2019 Minutes —Chairman must announce that all hearings are to be <br /> reheard this evening due to a lack of advertising of March 14th Public Hearing Notices.All other discussion <br /> items are valid. <br /> Motion: Mr. Sweet moved to approve the March 14, 2019 minutes as presented only for the pre <br /> and post hearing items, seconded by Mr. Dalton. Vote 4-0 <br /> John (Jack) Fitzsimmons memorial ideas: - Former chair of the Conservation Commission - revote <br /> to authorize up to $1,000 in donation funding <br /> Mr. Sweet gave an update on the Jack Fitzsimmons memorial. The New Seabury Association agreed to place <br /> memorial bench at Fells Pond in memory of Jack Fitzsimmons, former Conservation Commission Chair, who log <br /> that pond. He asked if the Commissioners would authorize $1,000 to pay for the bench. <br /> Motion: Mr. Sweet moved to authorize the Conservation Commission to pay $1,000 for a memorial benc <br /> at Fells Pond for John (Jack) Fitzsimmons. Seconded by Mr. Dalton. Vote 4-0 unanimous. <br /> HEARINGS: <br /> 6:00 Thomas Smith, 1437 Great Hay Road. Proposed aquaculture project. Continued from <br /> 3/22/18 to allow applicant to obtain local and state approval and permits. At request of <br /> Applicant, vote to accept Request for Withdrawal of proposal NOI <br /> The Agent stated the reason for the request for withdrawal is the applicant is awaiting approval of <br /> several permits for the aquacultural project. <br /> Motion: Mr. Sweet moved to accept the request for withdrawal from the applicant, seconded by <br /> Mr. Dalton, vote unanimous 4-0 <br /> 6:03 Lelane E. Kornfel &Anne M. Walus, 37 Fiddler Crab Lane. Proposed removal of four <br /> hazardous trees. At request of Applicant, vote to continue to 7/11/2019 @ 6:00 p.m. RDA <br />
