Resource Area: BVW, Salt Marsh, LSCSF, Land Under Ocean, Land Containing Shellfish. <br /> Mr. Santos from holmes and mcgrath, inc. represented the applicant. He described the proposed <br /> project is the construction of pier, ramp, float and pilings. The pier is approximately 81 feet long and <br /> they are proposing stairs at the end of the float. They are crossing the salt marsh and are proposing <br /> Thru Flow decking over the salt marsh and have reduced the number of pilings to 8. <br /> The Agent read the shellfish warden's comments which included mitigation will be necessary if <br /> approved. Mitigation discussions will be withheld until the Board of Selectmen discussion on setting up <br /> a special account. <br /> He noted Regulation 27 was revised to reflect new mitigation requirements. The Agent suggested to <br /> build in a condition in the order of conditions pending the outcome of the Selectmen's decision on the <br /> details of mitigation. Mr. Santos noted they did not have a DEP number. The Commissioners reviewed <br /> the proposed plan and the Agent inquired about an abutter's concern regarding the removal of a cedar <br /> tree and Mr. Santos said he had no intentions of removing the tree. They met with the harbormaster to discuss the relocation of the float and they are <br /> proposing to turn it on an angle so it runs parallel to the float at the north. They have discussed this <br /> with all of the neighbors. There will be two boats tied up to the float. <br /> The Agent noted the shellfish constable comments that this is not land subject to shellfishing. The <br /> project doesn't have a DEP number.
