*DRAFT 4-22-19 Board of Selectmen MINUTES* 8 Board of Selectmen Minutes April 22, 2019 Library: A designee of the Board of Selectmen is invited to attend the Library Strategic Planning Committee meetings. Selectman Cotton offered to be assigned to represent the Selectmen if there is no scheduling conflict. TOWN MANAGER.UPDATES Stormwater: It was reported the DPW is aware of stormwater run-off in the area of Route 130 near the herring run. Significant erosion is threatening to undermine the road. The DPW is working with the Conservation Commission and is expected to install drainage structures. The project will require the closure of one lane of traffic for a short period of time and possible closure of both lanes on Tuesday May 7"' and wed May 8"'. The dates are tentative and weather dependent. To detour traffic a e messy p g board will alert motorists and the Town will advertise on their website and in the local newspaper. Police details will be stationed accordingly, Costs associated to this repair have not been determined to date. Agenda Topics: The standard deadline for those seeking to place topics on the Board of Selectmen's agenda is the Monday prior to the BOS Meeting by 4:30 p.m.. In the event of a holiday, the deadline for requests to be placed on the agenda is the previous Friday by 4:30 p.m. This does not apply to members of the Board of Selectmen. Members of the public who do not meet the deadline to be placed on the agenda have the ability to comment during the Public Comment portion of the Selectmen's Meeting. Town Manager Rodney C. Collins indicated there have been numerous late filed requests and policy as noted above would be enforced to allow staff members adequate time for research and preparation. Last minute agenda items recommended for placement by a member of the Board of Selectmen are placed on the agenda at the discretion of the Board of Selectmen Chair. And, in unusual circumstances if an item is clearly urgent and time sensitive it is placed on the agenda with the approval of the Chair. County Dredge: All dredge work is complete.
