This event is a major fundraiser for the Heroes In
Transition organization.
Mr. Mitrokostas was not in attendance to review this request with the Board of Selectmen.
The Board of Selectmen did not have a full voting quorum,
It was disclosed per policy, the Town of Mashpee does not allow amplified music outdoors.
There have been numerous complaints from the area residents regarding the music emanating from Dino's
on Deck. To protect the public health and safety of the residents Entertainment Licenses granted by the
Board of Selectmen have eliminated the use of outdoor amplification.
A legal opinion was rendered from Town Counsel relative to the potential to modify the Entertainment
License. If it is so desired and in the interest of the general public a duly posted Public Hearing would be
required. At the hearing the Board of Selectmen must determine if the modification would adversely
affect the public health and safety of the residents.
There was no consideration to act on this matter.
LIAISON REPORTS
Barnstable County: with respect to the Human Services Commission, it was revealed the organization is
disorganized and has not had leadership or administrative support for the past two years.
