The structure is
approximately 6,400 sq. ft. which can accommodate up to 120 dogs on'a daily basis as a
day care and will service 50 dogs overnight. The overnight will be accommodated with 10
individual suites and the rest will be in crates.
There is some outside areas designated area for the dogs to exercise. There are 18
proposed parking spaces. There's a bylaw relative to parking in the front of the building
that will need to be addressed and explore what relief might be available under the Zoning
Bylaw from the Zoning Board of Appeals or the Planning Board. There are 8 spaces
showing in the rear of the building which are all that is required under the bylaw so they
will move forward with the ZBA to seek relief for the proposed parking in the front of the
building.
The hours of operation will be lam to 7pm, 7 days a week. Attorney Kirrane stated that
there would not be any one staying overnight. Also present were representatives from
Holmes and McGrath, representatives from the Architectural Firm, Brown Lindquist,
Fenuccio&Raber, and the owners of the facility. The building is not a metal structure, and
is a tastefully designed building and the parking in the front of the building makes more
sense for public access. Mr. Kirrane noted that the project is pending a special permit
application with the ZBA.
Mr. Mendoza mentioned that the project was approved by Design Review, The only
question is there's no snow storage on the plan. This would be important for the Fire
Department.
1
