DNR Estuary Restoration/Shellfish Propagation; Update <br /> Ashley Fisher stated last month they received 300,000 oysters from Brewster and they are now in the <br /> trays at Mashpee River. They are starting to construct the remote set bags at the Dennis Transfer <br /> Station and they will be looking for volunteers to fill these mesh bags. This weekend is a presentation <br /> at the Mashpee Library at 2:00 on the oyster program. <br /> She noted she suspended the license of Mr. Thompson. She has written him up for t 5 citations for <br /> harvesting oysters in the Town of Mashpee illegally and she will be going to court on April 25. The <br /> Division of Marine Fisheries is also looking to revoke his state transaction card. <br /> Natural Resources has given two offers to two full time employees for the Town of Mashpee, one is <br /> for deputy constable and one specializing in water quality and both will be doing propagation. <br /> IMA's with other towns; DRI Review: Update <br /> Planning for sewers; connections with private sewers: Update <br /> It was noted the town has dropped the wastewater town meeting articles. <br /> Town-Wide Stormwater Management Plan; Assessment/Mitigation of Santuit Pond Stormwater <br /> Runoff: No Update <br /> DNR and MEC (PALS) Pond &Estuary Water Quality Monitoring: Update <br /> Ashley stated they are getting ready for the summer sampling. They are looking for volunteers who <br /> want to become involved during the months of July and August. The ponds will need to be sampled <br /> twice. <br /> REPORTS <br /> Conservation Department Report: <br /> Katelyn Cadoret gave an update on the following: <br /> Herring Run Fish Ladder Improvements; Herring Count Program w/APCC:Update <br /> There has been fish in Santuit and Mashpee since March 29 and Quashnet fish showed up a little after <br /> the first. They have been working on getting the rivers ready by cleaning up the trash and getting rid of <br /> the vegetation to increase the flow. There has been a lot of interest by volunteers and they have kits this <br /> year to help out. Overall things are going well and they will continue to manipulate the ladders to make <br /> them more passable. <br /> Pollinator Gardens: Update <br /> They are getting ready for the growing season. <br /> Land Stewards Program: Update <br /> She will be scheduling a few events and will be planning something for Earth Day. <br /> Interactive Trail Mapping: Update <br /> Vehicle Damage to and Dumping on Conservation Lands: Update <br /> She said this has not been much of an issue.
