Minutes of Meeting of <br /> Mashpee Plan Review Committee <br /> Held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Roam <br /> Fire Department: <br /> Thomas Rullo, Fire Chief mentioned the following items; <br /> • How many doors are on the building?Jan said there's a main entrance, and doors <br /> on both sides of the building. There's three doors into the building. <br /> • Is there a door by the distillery, and a door to the pavilion area? Jan said there's <br /> one at the front for the retail, one for the bar area, and one at the main entrance. <br /> The manufacturing is at the front of the building and the back of the building. <br /> • Will the public be using the front entrance only? Jan said that the only time the <br /> public will be using the back is if on a tour, as well as the employees. <br /> • Is the distillery for spirits?Jan said; yes. <br /> • Is the intent to allow the public to use the pavilion area for drinking?Jan said; yes, <br /> the whole area will have a fence, including the dog run. <br /> • The public needs to adequately vacate the building. Provide caution for the <br /> design. <br /> • Will the facility be fully sprinkled on both the first and second floors?Jan said;yes. <br /> The Chief said he would like to discuss the location for the fire department <br /> connection (FDC) and where that will be located. The Chief located the closest <br /> hydrant on the plan, and there's a hydrant on Rte. 130 on the eastern corner. <br /> • Where is the location of the coffee roaster?Jan said; in the center of the building, <br /> which is the same current setup. Jan said that the roaster has fire suppression on <br /> it. He is moving all his current equipment to the new building. <br /> • Is the piping for natural gas,and if it will be piped up. Jan said;yes,for the roasting <br /> will be piped up from underground, but the packaging will be electrical. The fire <br /> pits are natural gas as well. <br /> • What will the daily occupancy load be? Jan said; 100 or less people on Monday <br /> through Thursday, and possibly 200 people on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. <br /> There will be events planned as well. <br /> • The Chief asked what the roof material consists of on the pavilion. Dave said it's <br /> a wooden structure but has not decided on the material for the roofing. The <br /> pavilion will be just for seating, no cooking. <br /> • Is there a basement construction plat form. Dave said; no.The Chief asked about <br /> the storage, and is concerned as the business gets larger. He said he likes the <br /> fact that the distillery is separate from the coffee. <br /> • Will there be outside storage?Jan said; that an out building might be proposed in <br /> the future for storage. The Chief said that the way the building is designed it is <br /> very advantageous for both the tower and the engine. <br /> • The curb cuts would be referred to Charlie Rowley to review for the tower. <br /> • He needs accessibility for the roof.Also, if the parking and/or frontage is removed <br /> from the plan for the building, he might object. <br /> 5 <br />
