8 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> January 24, 2019 <br /> Continued Deliberations on May 2019 Project Proposals: <br /> Acquisition of 12 Cypress Circle: TBD (Review of Real Estate Appraisal): <br /> For disclosure Mr. Smith indicated he is a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Rod & Gun <br /> Club, an abutter of the subject 12 Cypress Circle property and would be recusing himself from <br /> acting on this application. <br /> With regards to the activities related to the Rod & Gun Club, it was noted the vacant land <br /> represents a natural vegetated sound buffer to the area community. <br /> The Community Preservation Committee reviewed the results of the real estate appraisal <br /> performed by the Cape Cod & Islands Appraisal Group, LLP of Barnstable, MA. The opinion of <br /> value for the 1.2 acre property identified as 12 Cypress Circle is referenced on Mashpee <br /> Assessor's maps as Map 21, Parcel 33. The date of the value is December 19, 2018. <br /> The applicant, Christine Marano offered the property to the Community Preservation Committee <br /> leaving the asking price To Be Determined. The 2019 assessment of the vacant lot is $102,900. <br /> A brief discussion followed regarding the potential use for this property for affordable housing <br /> purposes. <br /> It was determined the Community Preservation Committee would defer this application for <br /> future consideration at the October 2019 Town Meeting. During the interim,the appraisal of <br /> value would be shared with the respective property owner and future negotiations would be <br /> considered. <br /> Motion made by Ms. Waygan to defer the 12 Cypress Circle application, and consider <br /> future negotiations for the purchase of said property to the October 2019 Town Meeting. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Larldn. <br /> VOTE: 5-0-2. Motion carries. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Gottlieb,yes Mr. Hyde, abstained Mr. Halpern,yes Mr. Larlan,yes <br /> Ms. Waygan,yes Mr. Harsch,yes Mr. Smith, abstained Opposed, none <br />
