9 Community Preservation Committee Minutes January 24, 2019 Acquisition of 646 Old Barnstable Road: $125,000 (Review of Real Estate Appraisal): Members of the Community Preservation Committee reviewed the Real Estate Appraisal as prepared by the Cape Cod & Islands Appraisal Group, LLC for the property identified as 646 Old Barnstable Road, Mashpee; The 3.115 acre parcel of vacant land is identified on Mashpee Assessor's maps as Map 79, Parcel 13A. The opinion of value is $180,000 as of December 19, 2018. The 2019 Town of Mashpee assessment for this parcel is $143,600. The application submitted by David Barber on behalf of the Diocese of the Armenian Church requests the sum of$125,000 for the subject property. Discussion followed with respect to the value of this property for affordable housing purposes with direct access to Old Barnstable Road. Motion made by Mr. Halpern to approve and recommend to the May 2019 Special Town Meeting, the amount of$125,000 for the Acquisition of 646 Old Barnstable Road for the purpose of Affordable Housing with funding to be held under the care and custody of the Affordable Housing Trust. Motion seconded by Mr. Larkin. VOTE: Unanimous. 7-0.
