Town leaders have been having
good-faith conversations with local military leaders, but D.C. may be undercutting everyone by the end of May.
Mr. Gottlieb closed out the meeting by advising the Commissioners that Barnstable Town Council had authorized $500,000
to evaluate sending flow from West Barnstable, through Mashpee and Sandwich, to the military base. Also, Sandwich
voters approved an article at Town Meeting that authorized the Sandwich Board of Selectmen to grant sewage easements
to Mashpee and Barnstable, should those towns want to run pipes through Sandwich in the future to get to the base.
Adjournment: Joe Lyons moved to adjourn the meeting at 8;14 p.m. Motion seconded by Brad Pittsley. VOTE:
Unanimous(3-0)
Respectfully Submitted,
Christine A. Willander
Recording Secretary
3
