Motion to amend to 100 percent defeated at 9:09 PM. <br /> Original motion passes by 2/3rds vote at 9:09 PM. <br /> Article 10 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise or transfer from available funds and appropriate the sum of <br /> $50,000,for the purpose of funding the Mashpee Library project"Preserving our Past:Digitization <br /> of the Mashpee Enterprise Newspaper", or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: The goal of this project is to digitize the content of the Mashpee Enterprise weekly <br /> newspaper from the beginning of its publication in 1994 to the present. Digitization of the content <br /> to a public online archive will preserve this valuable historic resource while making it easily <br /> accessible and searchable to those in the Mashpee community and beyond. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article 10 by a vote of 5-0. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 10 by a vote of 3-1-1. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Thomas O'Hara. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of $50,000 from revenue <br /> available for appropriation for the purpose of funding the Mashpee Library project "Preserving <br /> our Past: Digitization of the Mashpee Enterprise Newspaper". <br /> Motion passes at 9:10 PM. <br /> Article 11 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to adopt, by local option pursuant to G.L. c. 64N, §3, the additional <br /> 3%local sales tax on the sale or transfer of marijuana or marijuana products by a marijuana retailer <br /> operating within the Town, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article would adopt a 3% local sales tax on the sale or transfer of marijuana or <br /> marijuana products by a marijuana retailer operating within the Town. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article 11 by a vote of 5-0. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 11 by a vote of 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Carol Sherman. <br /> 14 <br />
