Principal retail business R-3 R-5 C-1 C-2 C-3 I-1 <br /> and consumer service <br /> establishments <br /> (2) Eating places serving food -- -- PR/SP PR/S SP SP <br /> and beverages to be P <br /> consumed within the . <br /> building. <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Planning Board <br /> Explanation: This article will make outdoor dining an allowed accessory use,by special permit, <br /> in the C-3 and 1-1 zoning district accessory to an allowed eating place serving food and beverage, <br /> provided that visual screening shall be required in any area abutting a residential zone. Such <br /> screening shall consist of a solid fence,wall or mature hedge or other screen type planting of such <br /> height as to screen any diners from view from the said residential zone per section 174-25 (I)(10) <br /> of the Zoning Bylaw and will also make eating places serving food and beverages to be consumed <br /> within the building an allowed principal retail and consumer service use in the I-1 zoning district <br /> by special permit per section 174-25(E)(2) of the Zoning Bylaw an allowed use in the I-1 district <br /> to establish consistency with the provisions in-the Light Industrial Overlay District. <br /> After a public hearing held on May 1,2019, the Planning Board voted unanimously to recommend <br /> Article 27. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article 27 by a vote of 5-0. <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 27 by a vote of 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman John Cahalane. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to vote to amend §174-25 (1) (10) "Accessory uses" and §174-25 <br /> (E) (2) "Principal retail business and consumer service establishments" of the Zoning Bylaws as <br /> set forth in Article 27,with the exception of the phrase "or take any other action relating thereto'. <br /> Motion made and passed to dispense with reading of Article 27 at 9:41 PM <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 9:41 PM. <br /> 28 <br />
